Adam Gilchrist who revolutionized the role of a wicket-keeper batter, becomes the 1st ever player to hit 100 sixes in the longest format of the game.

He achieves the feat against Sri Lanka, in 2007. Currently, he stands 3rd in the category of the most sixes in Test cricket.

While in ODIs, Gilchrist opened the innings, in Tests he used to wreck havoc in the lower middle order, at number 7.

The former Australian great has played a total of 96 Tests in which he has scored 5570 runs off 137 innings( avg – 47).

Before calling it a day in international cricket in 2024, the New Zealand swing bowler Tim Southee finishes it as the 4th most sixes in Test cricket – 98.

Batting in 155 innings, Southee has 2245 runs in the longest format of the game, in addition to 391 wickets in 203 innings.
