The former New Zealand wicket-keeper batsman Brendan McCullum hit the fastest ever ODI World Cup half-century, off just 18 balls versus England , at Wellington in 2015 World Cup. He scored 77 runs, facing 25 balls( 7 sixes , 8 fours ) & helped his team chase an 125 runs target in 12.2 overs. McCullum, the 2nd highest individual scorer in IPL surpassed his own previous record of the World Cup Fastest fifty that came off 20 balls(at 7th position) against Canada(at Gros Islet), in 2007 World Cup.
