India becomes the first team to win the ICC T20 cricket World Cup thrice, after lifting the trophy in 2026 edition.
With a schedule of men’s ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2026 from February 7 to March 8(in India & Sri Lanka), India beat New Zealand in the Final match of the tournament.
Being the winner of last ICC T20 cricket World Cup edition i.e. 2024 as well, the Indian team becomes the first to win it back to back and also the first to win it at home.
Their 1st Title win comes in the inaugural edition of ICC T20 cricket World Cup i.e. 2007. Also, the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 winners have the most wins in terms of matches.
West Indies & England are the other teams to win the multiple T20 WC Titles(both twice).
Twice, each Sri Lanka, New Zealand & Pakistan finish the tournament as runner up, the most by a single team.
The 2nd most runs in ODI WC history batsman Virat Kohli has the most runs in T20 WC history while the 11th most wickets in ODI WC history bowler Sakib Al Hasan has the most wickets in T20 WC history.
