Debuting in 1924, Sutcliffe completed his 1000 Test runs in 1925, versus Australia. Having 4555 runs( avg – 59.9) in 84 innings of 54 Tests, he retired in 1935.

Everton Weekes 1000 Test Runs In 12 Innings, 1948 India Vs England Test Match
Everton Weekes, the former West Indies batsman – equalled the record of the fastest 1000 runs in Test cricket, in 1948. He did that against India, at Brabourne.
Batting in 81 innings(48 Tests), Weekes ended his Test career with 4455 runs( avg – 58.6) against his name, in 1958.
